Access Database Corrupt Post Splitting
Unlike any other database, Microsoft Access database can also be split into two or more databases. In most cases, the database user stores the tables in one database and all the other database components (queries, reports, modules, and forms) in another database. The two benefits of Access database splitting are, updation of database records simultaneously, and, sharing of same set of data by all database users. While the process of splitting the database is easy-to-perform, it might leave the database user in disastrous situations (complete database damage) if not performed correctly. In such situations, if the user wants to access the database records, s/he receives an error message. This error message does not allow the user to access the data. To access the database records after Access database damage, only an effective access database recovery solution can help.
To illustrate the above case, consider the below error message that appears when the database gets corrupted after splitting:
“The Microsoft Jet database engine cannot open the file servernamecompanyCustomerComplaints.mdb. It is already opened exclusively by another user, or you need permission to view its data”
No matter what the user does, s/he will not be able open to the database after the above error message pops up.
Cause:
Corruption while splitting an Access database occurs when the user does not have complete understanding of how to perform split. In order to prevent such instances, the user should follow the below steps to split the database:
1.To start, the user needs to open the database that needs to be split.
2.Select Tools, Database Utilities, and then Database Splitter.
3.Click on ‘Split Database Button’.
4.Browse to the database server and directory where the user needs to save the file.
5.Click on ‘Split’ button, and then press ‘OK’.
However, if the database has already been corrupted and the user has not maintained any database backup, then the user needs to use an effective access recovery tool. Such Access Recovery tools are used by most of the database users to overcome all kinds of logical corruption scenarios.
Stellar Phoenix Access Recovery repairs corrupt database and restores it at user-specified location. Supported by 2007, 2003, XP (2002), and 2000, the access database recovery software allows the user to preview the repaired database before saving. It is designed for Windows 7, Vista, 2003, XP, and 2000 operating systems.
